The WWII bomber/fighter has been a very frequently requested theme since ODD's inception. Of all the requests, this and the PBWarehouse.net Squadron Jersey are the only opportunities we've had to use the ever intimidating shark's mouth and eye from our picture library. Of course all those people who didn't follow through with the idea think we ripped them off, which is just precious. I'm sure the owner thinks so too.
The idea with this gun was to play off of the 2000 series alloy wearing poorly in the design. We added some 3D bullet holes and soot to give it that "30 missions over nazi germany" look, and we can only imagine how cool this will look after a few more years on the front lines. Notice the iron crosses on the barrel lined up like hash marks for a kill tally.
The final touch on this gun was the rivets to give it that sheet metal look. The back of the frame says "bombs away" and the trigger sports a silhouette of a bomb as if to indicate the lever for the bombay doors. By all reports, this one has been sending boys home to their mothers in pine boxes since its reassembly.
